Oregon State Police are investigating a crash on I-5 in Eugene Friday morning that involved a vehicle transporting marijuana.
When police arrived at the scene, they found marijuana spilled across the freeway and inside of the SUV that was on its top.
Several pounds of marijuana were recovered.
The marijuana was being transported in glass jars that broke during the crash.
Police also found nearly an ounce of hash, which is a high potency form of marijuana extract.
The driver, 18-year-old Dominic Winders, from Fort Jones, California, was hospitalized.
The passenger, 51-year-old Anthony Pitts from Fort Jones, California, was not seriously hurt. He was cited for possession of marijuana. More charges may be filed after the investigation is complete.
