Forty-six-year-old Alan McVay is being held on one million dollars' bail, accused of trying to blow up the Jackson County Prosecutor's office, last week.
Medford Police Chief Tim George says Mcvay was arrested Wednesday evening in nearby White City, and arraigned Thursday, on charges of arson, burglary, building a destructive device and criminal mischief. Investigators aren't talking about a motive, but the DA's office was prosecuting McVay for a home burlary, where 30 guns and ammunition were stolen.
Last week's bombing only did minor damage, because the propane tank the explosive was attached to, didn't detonate. The Medford Mail Tribune reports Mc Vay has a rap sheet for drugs, theft and burglary.
