Last year, Gucci Mane said that he was working on a memoir. Now, the East Atlanta Santa rapper has revealed the cover of his upcoming book.
Today (March 20), Gucci tweeted a cover that shows his tatted-up left hand with ice dripping from his wrist and pinky finger. "I'm an author now #TheAutobiographyOfGuccimane," the tweet said. Peep the book cover below.
Gucci started writing the book while he was in prison. It's also co-written by Neil Martinez-Belkin and published by the Simon & Schuster company. A spokesperson for the publisher said about the literary work: “Simon & Schuster is thrilled to publish Gucci’s story in his own words. Gucci Mane is one of the most influential and revered hip hop artists in the world. His impact on American music is profound. This will be a major memoir revealing the life and times of the artist and man, chronicling his youth, ascent to the top of the Atlanta trap scene, incarceration, struggles with addiction and personal rebirth.”
Amazon's description of the book reads: "For the first time Gucci Mane tells his story in his own words. It is the captivating life of an artist who forged an unlikely path to stardom and personal rebirth. Gucci Mane began writing his memoir in a maximum-security federal prison. Released in 2016, he emerged radically transformed. He was sober, smiling, focused, and positive—a far cry from the Gucci Mane of years past."
