The Chicago White Sox are part of Wednesday's big celebration for the Jackie Robinson West All-Stars. The team is expected to stop at U.S. Cellular Field on their way to Millennium Park. 

 

The White Sox are preparing for a crowd of thousands, and at least one Sox great will be here to greet the team. At the Cell, White Sox fans had their minds on that other team from the South Side - Jackie Robinson West.

The parade route and details on the parade honoring the Jackie Robinson West Little League Team were announced Monday afternoon. 

 

A neighborhood rally will be held at Jackie Robinson Park, located at 10540 South Morgan Street, at 9 a.m. before the parade steps off. The parade will kick off on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Jackie Robinson Park on Chicago's South Side, Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office said. 

 

The parade will end with a rally at Millennium Park at approximately 11 a.m. No street closures are planned for the parade. 

 

The parade route is as follows:

 

Northbound on Aberdeen to 105th

East on 105th to Halsted

Northbound on Halsted from 105th to 35th Street 

Eastbound on 35th Street to Indiana

Northbound on Indiana to 31st Street 

Merge onto northbound Michigan Ave.

Northbound on Michigan Ave to Randolph

 

Throughout the parade route, fans are encouraged to gather at one of the following locations to show their support to the team.

 

103rd and Halsted

95th and Halsted

87th and Halsted

79th and Halsted

63rd and Halsted

US Cellular Field
