Kindness really does go a long way.

In the two days since Travis Scott announced his $100,000 social media giveaway, the Astroworld rapper has touched a countless number of lives. And for one special fan, Travis' donation provided a moment of happiness during one of life's most challenging times.

As previously reported, Travis took to social media on Tuesday (August 14) to ask his fans for their Cash App usernames so he could send them FREE money (free, as in, no strings attached)! All fans had to do was tweet lyrics from Astroworld or leave a comment on his Instagram photo of their favorite Travis song, along with their cash app username, and he would choose the lucky fans to receive a portion of the $100,000.

Peter Valdriz was one of the lucky fans after he replied to Travis' tweet: "This would definitely help with my Mom's funeral cost. It's worth a shot."

While Peter's response was among hundreds of thousands of tweets, he was one of the lucky fans chosen to receive a portion of the 100K (fans have gotten anywhere from $50 to $1,000). He also got a special message from Travis.

"Not much but hope can help," the "SICKO MODE" rapper wrote to Peter along with his $800 donation. "Ur mom [looking emoji] down on ya."

Travis' act of kindness also inspired dozens of strangers to send additional funds to help cover Peter's mom's funeral costs. He told TMZ," Knowing that someone is out there trying to help us during this difficult time means the world to us." He added, "I personally want to thank Travis Scott for really making a tough day for my family into a day we can cherish."

Peter's mother passed away on August 8 after a battle with a brain virus.

Travis' $800 donation coincidentally fell on what would have been her 52nd birthday.
