YG Apologizes To The LGBTQ Community For His Past 'Ignorant' Views

YG started the New Year with an apology.

On Wednesday (January 1), the "MAMACITA" rapper took to Twitter to apologize to the LGBTQ community for his past ignorance. "it’s been brought to my attention that my old views on life was ignorant. i apologize to the LGBTQ kommunity for ever komin across like i was anything but respectful and accepting. Live. Love. Ya Life. Gang," he wrote.

While it's unclear what exactly prompted YG'S apology, and which "old views" he was referring to, it's a welcome change to the normally reactive apologizes many celebs have given for their ignorant views in years past.

YG's apology came less than a month after his now-ex-girlfriend Kehlani announced to the world that she's single.

Just after the "Go Loko" rapper claimed the two were working things out following his cheating scandal, Kehlani took to Twitter to set the record straight.

In a since-deleted tweet, per Page Six, the "Love Language" singer confirmed her single status and denied rumors that she's dating Tory Lanez, writing, “Because i keep seeing this. i’m addressing it. absolutely not. we made a song for my album. I am single. and focused.”

As fans know, it was after Kehlani was reportedly linked to Tory that her now-ex YG took to Instagram Stories to threaten anyone trying to "comfort" her while they allegedly worked out their issues. "What Young Thug said: Don't get shot tryna comfort my b*tch while we going thru it," he wrote, quoting Thug's previous words. YG then added his own spin, writing, "I know where ni**az live. Black Ops."

The 29-year-old rapper's threat came just after Tory posted an Instagram Series that included a picture of him standing in front of Kehlani in the club.
