Two Roosevelt HS students start free grocery delivery service for seniors

Terren Gurule and Miguel O’Loughlin, two Roosevelt High School students, have created a grocery delivery service for seniors so they don’t have to brave grocery store aisles.

Both students belong to the Community Betterment via Engineering and Technology (CBET) Club, which has set up the call center and is taking calls between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The CBET Club partnered with Roosevelt’s Key Club, which will deliver to homes in North Portland within 72 hours of an order being placed. Spanish speakers are available to take calls.

Seniors interested can call (503) 360-0058 to place an order. [The Oregonian]
