Tara Reid Got Donald Faison Drunk On Moonshine In High School

On this episode of Fake Doctors, Real Friends, Tara Reid joins Zach Braff and Donald Faison to talk about the Scrubs season three episode “My Advice To You.” But as usual, they get into so much more than TV memories: Tara shares some great stories about going to high school with Donald, running into Zach in Tel Aviv, and her audition for her breakout role in The Big Lebowski. Donald and Zach wonder if they should start an OnlyFans together, and if it’s cheating if they were to sleep with each other in an Oculus simulation (“Like a virtual Brokeback Mountain….we have cattle to deal with and s**t,” Zach jokes). Then Yusef calls in to ask what movies made them want to be better people, and gets advice on how to fix his relationship with his brother.

Donald says he noticed Tara in high school because “she had the biggest hair you’ve ever seen;” they became friends and hung out quite a bit through those years. In fact, Tara was a part of several memorable moments in Donald’s life: He talks about “the first and last time” he tried moonshine at a party at her house, feeling like he’d really “made it” when she showed up on the Clueless set, and hanging out at his first apartment in LA, which he swore wasn’t in a bad neighborhood – right before gunshots went off in front of his house. They all hit the floor but started laughing hysterically; “I remember thinking….Thank God I didn’t get Tara Reid killed!” Donald laughs. She makes them laugh with the story of how she picked Sharknado, too: “It was originally called Dark Skies….and I thought, ‘I’ll just take the money and run with this one, because we knew no one was going to see it,’” she remembers, laughing. But when it came out, “my phone was just ringing and ringing: ‘It’s number one, it’s trending, we’re getting a million tweets per minute!’”

They debate whether or not Elliott really knew that J.D. still had feelings for her in this Scrubs episode, or if she was just totally oblivious. Then Yusef calls in and explains Twitch to Zach, and tells them that “there are certain shows and movies out there that I think should almost be required viewing for people, because they encourage kindness and compassion,” and for him, Scrubs is one of those shows. What movies made them want to be better people? That question kicks off a movie discussion about American Beauty, Shawshank Redemption, Boyz In Da Hood, The Princess Bride, A Place in the Sun, and many more. Plus, "silverware in the pancake drawer," Rob Maschio’s mattress love, and Turk’s “government cheese;” hear the whole hilarious conversation on this episode of Fake Doctors, Real Friends.
