According to a report FOX 8 in New Orleans published on Wednesday, April 17, the controversial rap artist was taken into custody on Tuesday evening by the Cache County Sheriff’s Office in Utah. YoungBoy Never Broke Again has been confined at his Utah home and heavily guarded by ex-military security since he was released from jail in October 2021. He was initially indicted on federal gun charges in March 2021 after he was allegedly caught with two weapons while filming a music video in his hometown of Baton Rouge, La. in September 2020. He's currently awaiting trial for the original charges after the proceedings were paused earlier this year pending the U.S. Supreme Court’s upcoming ruling on Second Amendment rights.

The latest charges comes a few months after a judge ruled to decrease the strict conditions of his house arrest, which allowed him to seek mental health treatments. YB's legal team had originally made a request to lessen the conditions so that he could travel to a studio to “produce the quality of music that his fans expect," per WAFB. His motion stemmed from information his label gave him that indicated his record sales were suffering due to his inability to make music.

As of this report, bail has not been set for NBA YoungBoy.
