Mustard is shedding more light on Kendrick Lamar's iconic performance at the Super Bowl, and offering some advice to K.Dot's foe Drake.
On Monday, February 10, the Grammy award-winning producer stopped by Big Boy's Neighborhood for an exclusive interview about his experience participating in the halftime show at Super Bowl LIX. During the conversation, Mustard talked about rehearsing for the show and how "electrifying" it was while he was on the field. He also discussed the epic moment when Lamar performed "Not Like Us" and subliminal disses aimed at Drake. Big Boy asked Mustard if he had any advice for Drizzy on how to move forward following the performance.
“I don’t know, man. I actually don’t think about what he could do,” he replied. “I just try to stay aligned with pure s**t, just being pure and being on the right side of things — not doing no tactics and gimmicks."
“I’m not speaking at Drake or for him, but a lot of s**t that’s going on — the tactics, the things that you do just to get attention," he added. "You don’t need to do that. Just make music, man. Make good music and you’ll be fine.”
Mustard had a major appearance in the show. After Lamar transitioned from "Not Like Us" to "tv off," the 10 Summers founder came out while Dot screamed his name. He remained on the field until the end of the performance.
Mustard also talked about the real meaning behind Kendrick Lamar's "a" chain, his thoughts on the entire stadium singing "a minor" and more. Watch him relive the Super Bowl Halftime Show with Big Boy below.
