A Woodburn Police officer shot and killed a man carrying tire irons late Saturday night.
Salem Police say Officer Jackson Ryan responded to a 911 call about an aggressive individual causing a disturbance.
Police say Israel Hernandez-Martinez was holding several tire irons. There was a confrontation with Officer Ryan and Hernandez-Martinez was shot. He died at the scene.
The Salem Police Department is investigating.
