Traffic Stop Leads To Major Drug Bust

A traffic stop led to a major drug bust Saturday in Portland.

Police tried to pull over two men who were involved in suspicious activity near Dawson Park. They fled. The air unit followed the vehicle and spike strips deflated the tires. They crashed near the south end of the Glen Jackson Bridge and ran. Police arrested them.

Inside of the car they found eight pounds of fentanyl in both bulk and distribution-sized packages. The 17-year-old driver was booked into Juvenile Detention. The passenger, 19-year-old Elvin Santos-Rosales was booked on drug charges.
