Actress Kirstie Alley is dead. The actress was 71 and passed after a short battle with cancer.
Kirstie's children announced the new Monday evening with a statement shared via their mother's social media account.
Alley became a household name as Rebecca Howe on "Cheers" from 1987-1993. A role that gave Alley both an Emmy and Golden Globe in 1991.
