Fire Damages Downtown Portland Building

Portland Fire crews were called to a building in downtown Portland with a fire on the roof Sunday morning.

The building is located at Southwest 10th and Alder.

It was started by a construction worker using a torch that ignited a solvent based primer.

The worker suffered an injury to his hand while trying to put out the fire. He was treated at the scene.

The building has no residents, because it’s under renovation.

The Portland Fire Bureau called two alarms to put out the fire.
