Blazers Rout The Hawks

----- The Portland Trail Blazers returned to their winning ways on Friday night with a 110-89 win over the Atlanta Hawks at Moda Center.

The Trail Blazers got revenge for their loss last week in Atlanta with a blowout win on Friday night. The Blazers had great balance with seven players scoring in double-figures.

Portland (20-18) struggled with ball security in the first half committing 11 turnovers, but responded in the second half with excellent ball movement and execution on offense. The Blazers outscored the Hawks 58-43 in the final two quarters en route to a rare blowout win.

CJ McCollum led Portland (20-18) with 20 points, both Al-Farouq Aminu and Damian Lillard added 14 points, and Ed Davis delivered off the bench with 12 points and five rebounds. Evan Turner continued his solid play with 10 points on 4-for-5 shooting. Turner has now scored in double-figures in three-straight games for the Blazers.

The Blazers shot 53.8% from the field including 13-for-30 from three-point range and outscored the Hawks 48-34 in the paint. With the win, the Blazers improved to 9-10 at home on the season.

Atlanta (10-28) had only two players score in double-figures on the night. Dennis Schroder led the team with 14 points. The Hawks made just 36.1% shooting.

Next up- The Trail Blazers will host the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night. Game is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 PM.

Chad's take- Ball movement and player movement = good offense.
