Blazers Top Cavs for NBA-best 11th Straight Win

----- CJ McCollum scores 29 points as the Portland Trail Blazers extend their winning streak to 11 games with a 113-105 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers Thursday night at Moda Center.

32 days and counting since the Trail Blazers last lost a basketball game. Portland won its NBA-best 11th straight game with a 113-105 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers Thursday night at Moda Center.

CJ McCollum led Portland (42-26) with 29 points and Damian Lillard added 24 points and nine assists. The two teams played a back and fourth affair in the first half with the game tied at 29 at the end of first quarter and the Blazers taking small advantage at 59-54 into halftime.

McCollum hit consecutive 3-pointers and Lillard made another that stretched Portland's lead to 81-66 midway through the third quarter. The Blazers maintained a double-digit lead for most of the fourth quarter until a late Cleveland run capped off by a George Hill three-pointer cut the Blazers lead to three at 105-102. The Blazers responded with a quick five points to put the game away.

Terry Stotts was pleased with his team's winning streak after the game saying, "I don't know about momentum but I think we're playing well. Each game is a challenge. But obviously, to string together the wins that we have been, we've been doing good things at both ends of the floor and I think tonight was an example of that as well."

Lebron James led Cleveland (39-29) with a game-high 35 points and 14 rebounds. The Cavs have now lost five of their last eight games.

NEXT UP- The Trail Blazers will host the Detroit Pistons at Moda Center on Saturday night. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
