Damian Lillard Unstoppable In The Magic Kingdom

----- Damian Lillard scores 34 of this 41 points in the second half as the Portland Trail Blazers down the Orlando Magic 128-114 Thursday night at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

The next time an opposing fan decides to run his mouth at Damian Lillard he should probably think twice. After being heckled by a fan in the first half, Lillard exploded in the second half to led the Trail Blazers to a 128-114 road over the Orlando Magic Thursday night at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

“He kept hollering my name,” Lillard said, “'You don’t want to play tonight.' 'You ain’t that good.' It wasn’t so much what he was saying, the whole first half he just wouldn’t shut up.

“I got tired of it. And that was it. I told him at the end of the second quarter. I said, ‘We’re gonna see.’ And he kept going and talking, and we saw it.”

Lillard connected on 11 of his 15 shots in the second half and scoring 34 of his game-high 41 points in the final two quarters which was a franchise-record for points in a half. The previous high was 33 points set by Lillard in his 59-point performance against the Utah Jazz on April 8th, 2017.

After a poor shooting shooting night in their loss Monday to the Washington Wizards, the Blazers responded by scoring the nets against the Magic. The Blazers connected on 55.2% of their shots from teh field including 40.7% from three-point range on 11-for-27 shooting.

Portland (3-1) got 22 points from CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic added 18 points and 10 rebounds. The Blazers bench continued their torrid start to the season by adding 40 points. Zach Collins scored a career-high 17 points on 7-for-7 shooting and Evan Turner finished the night with eight points and six assists.

Orlando made a late push with a 15-5 run in the fourth quarter to cut the Blazers lead to 102-99, but Portland responded with a 20-8 run to put the game away.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers continue their road trip Friday in Miami against the Heat. The game is scheduled to tip off at 5:00 PM.
