It wasn't easy, but the Portland Trail Blazers won their second straight game on the road Tuesday with a 118-114 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. The Blazers erased a double-digit deficit in the third quarter to improve their record to 12-5 on the season. With the Clippers loss to the Wizards on Tuesday night, Portland is now alone at the top of the Western Conference standings.

The Knicks took a 75-65 lead with 7:15 left in the third quarter after a three-pointer from Emmanuel Mudiay, but the Blazers responded with a 24-10 run to take a 89-85 lead heading into the final period. CJ McCollum scored 13 of his team-high 32 points in the fourth to keep the Blazers in front. The Blazers opened the fourth on a 7-2 run as they took their biggest lead at 104-93 with 7:45 to play.

"CJ got hot at the right time," Blazers coach Terry Stotts said. "We were kind of struggling ... and it came at a time that we really needed it."

Portland (12-5) got 29 points and eight assists from Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic set a career-high with his fifth-straight double-double finishing with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
