Jazz Play A Tune On The Blazers

----- Ricky Rubio scored 24 points and dished out eight assists as the Utah Jazz hammered the Portland Trail Blazers 120-90 Friday night at Moda Center.

The Portland Trail Blazers put up their worst effort of the season as the Utah Jazz dominated both ends of the floor in a 120-90 blowout win Friday night at Moda Center.

The loss ended Portland's three-game winning streak.

Utah's offense annihilated the Blazers' defense with great movement and execution. The Jazz connected on 55.3% of their shots from the field and scorched the nets from three-point range on 16-for-31 shooting.

“Just too many threes allowed,” Damian Lillard said. “I think the effort was there. We played hard. I just think we had too many miscommunications, letdowns mentally on the defensive end where it was a guy slipping into open threes.”

The Trail Blazers held a 22-20 lead with 3:10 remaining in the first quarter, but that would be the last time the Jazz would trail on the night. Utah led by as much as 14 points in the first half and would open the third quarter on a 24-11 run. The Blazers never threatened the rest of the way.

The Blazers struggled on offense making just 40.7% of their shots, and once again failed to get production from their starting forwards. Al-Farouq Aminu scored just five points on 1-for-10 shooting with Maurice Harkless scoring just four. Lillard led the Blazers with 19 points.

Ricky Rubio scored 24 points and dished out eight assist to lead the Jazz. Jae Crowder and Kyle Korver combined to score 34 points off the bench on 13-for-21 shooting.

Utah (16-17) ended a five-game road losing streak and ended a two-game slide against the Trail Blazers.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will host the Dallas Mavericks Sunday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled for 6:00 PM.

Chad's Take- Donovan Mitchell scored just three-points and the Blazers lost by 30? Not good.
