Pistons Top Blazers In Unsightly Game

----- The Trail Blazers scored a season-low 34 points in the first half and lose to the Detroit Pistons Saturday evening at Little Caesars Arena.

On a night when the Detroit Pistons celebrated their 1990 NBA Finals victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, their current team did the "Bad Boys" proud by winning ugly over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Blazers scored a season-low 34 points in the first half and went on to lose 99-90 to the Pistons snapping their six-game winning streak. The offense was just plain ugly as Portland connected on 37.3% of their shots and made a season-low four three-pointers.

"That was a rough game, first quarter was brutal, neither team really had it going" Blazers Coach Terry Stotts said. "We had a lot of opportunities in the first quarter I felt to have a bigger lead than we did that we really didn't take advantage of."

Damian Lillard scored 23 points but connected on just 8-for-25 from the field while Al-Farouq Aminu went scoreless on 0-for-9 shooting. Enes Kanter was the lone Blazer to produce consistent offense scoring 25 points on 9-for-17 shooting and pulled down a team-high 15 rebounds.

The Blazers led by three at halftime, but the Pistons took control of the game in the third scoring 35 points taking a 66-59 lead going into the fourth.

With the loss, Portland (48-28) falls a half-game behind the Houston Rockets for third place in the Western Conference playoff standings. The Blazers are now 9-4 on the road since the All-Star break.

Detroit (39-37) got 22 points and 19 rebounds from Andre Drummond and a game-high 28 points from Reggie Jackson.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers finish up their four-game road trip Monday in Minneapolis against the Timberwolves. The game is scheduled to tip off at 5:00 PM.

Chad's Take- One of the ugliest games I have ever seen. Portland couldn't make shots. It happens when you are missing two of your three best players on the second night of a back-to-back.
