Lakers Humble Trail Blazers

----- Anthony Davis dominates with 31 points and 11 rebounds as the LA Lakers hammer the Portland Trail Blazers 111-88 Thursday night in Orlando to even their best-of-seven Western Conference first round playoff series at 1-1.

A painful night for the Trail Blazers inside the NBA bubble in Orlando!

A bad night got worse for the Trail Blazers when Damian Lillard dislocated the index finger on his left hand in the third quarter. He left the game for good, and the team said X-rays were negative.

Lillard finished the game two with 18 points after scoring 34 in the game one victory. When asked about his status for game three Lillard said, "Oh, I'm playing."

The Lakers took control of the game by getting Anthony Davis the ball early and often. Davis led the Lakers with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Los Angeles dominated Portland with 52 points in the paint converting 14 offensive rebounds into 20 second-chance points. The Lakers led by 17 points at halftime.

The Lakers put the game away in the third extending their lead to 30 before Terry Stotts finally decided to waive the white towel.

The Trail Blazers shooting woes continued in game two. Portland shot 40% from the field including just 8-for-29 from three-point range.

The Lakers responded from their poor shooting night in game one by connecting on 47.8% of their shots including 14-for-38 from beyond-the-arc. After going 0-for-9 from the field in game one, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope bounced back making four of his six shots from three-point range.

LeBron James had 10 points, six rebounds, seven assists and six turnovers. He had 23 points, 17 rebounds and a playoff career-high 16 assists in Game 1.

Up Next- Blazers and Lakers will play game three Saturday evening. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.

Chad's Take- Game 2 was a clunker. Blazers need to burn the tape and get rested up for game 3.
