Blazers Throttled By Jazz

----- Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points and Rudy Gobert finished with a double-double 21 points and 16 rebounds as the Utah Jazz hammered the Portland Trail Blazers 129-107 Monday night at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City.

Portland's road struggles continued Monday night in Utah.

Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points and dished out five assists and Rudy Gobert finished with 21 points and 16 rebounds as the Utah Jazz hammered the Portland Trail Blazers 129-107 at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City.

The loss dropped Portland (10-11) to 1-10 on the road this season.

Jusuf Nurkic led the Blazers with 24 points and 10 rebounds on 9-of-13 shooting and Anfernee Simons scored 24 points connecting on 4-of-7 from three-point range.

The Jazz led 53-49 at halftime but quickly built their lead to double-digits in the third pouring in 41 points. The Jazz riddled the Portland's defense with dribble-penetration, excellent passing, and player movement that led to open shots.

Utah connected on 52.3% of their field goals including 19-of-46 from beyond-the-arc.

Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum combined for just 20 points on 11-of-29 shooting.

Notes- Tony Snell started in place of Norman Powell who was sidelined with a knee contusion, he scored eight points in 16 minutes of action.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers play the second of a back-to-back tomorrow night against the Detroit Pistons at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.

Chad's Take- It's time to make a trade. This team is flawed.
