Washington County Deputies are trying to reunite people with their stolen stuff. Here is a press release from the Sheriff's Department regarding the case and how you can claim your belongings.

Washington County Sheriff's Property Crime Detectives are searching for the owners of stolen property recovered during a search warrant. Detectives are also searching for additional property that has yet to be recovered.

In April, 2014, detectives received information concerning stolen property and an organized group of individuals responsible for many burglaries. On April 18, 2014, detectives executed a search warrant at 24490 SW Farmington Road in unincorporated Washington County. About 900 items were recovered and several victims were identified based on the property seized during the warrant. Stolen jewelry, guns, tools, and many other items of value were recovered during the warrant.

At least six people have been identified as suspects through evidence and other investigative information. Detectives have identified 10 burglary victims thus far in the cities of Forest Grove, Cornelius and Hillsboro. Sheriff's Deputies have taken numerous burglary reports in Washington County that are believed related to this group.

It appears that the suspects were scouting locations prior to committing the burglaries. The suspects also used the homeowner's vehicle in at least two cases to transport stolen property to another location. Both vehicles were recovered a short distance from the locations of the burglaries. The investigation is ongoing and arrests are forthcoming.

Detectives have been tenaciously searching reports and evidence to connect the stolen property to reported burglary and theft cases. While many items have been claimed by the rightful owners, many more items remain unclaimed. Due to the high volume of stolen property that has not been connected to victims, the property was photographed and a Sheriff's Office website has been created (www.HelpIDProperty.com). This website allows potential victims to view the items to see if they recognize any of their stolen property. Items can also be claimed online.

There are some very identifiable items that have not been recovered and the Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating them:

* 2 white 2003 Suzuki LTZ400 ATV's

* 1977 Norman Rockwell plate "Painting the Fence"

* Ajax peanut machine

* Vintage John Deere metal airplane bank 1927 Lockheed Vega 5B

If anyone has any information about the location of any of the items listed above or the ongoing investigation, they are asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 503-846-2700.
