Washington County Sheriff's Detectives are searching for a runaway Beaverton teen that is engaging in dangerous activities.

Detectives are asking for the public's help to locate 16-year-old Steven Zellmer. It is believed that he has repeatedly engaged in dangerous self-destructive behavior when he previously ran away from home.

Steven's family writes:

Please Help Us!

We are frantically worried about our son, Steven. He recently turned 16 years old and has been missing from home in Beaverton, Oregon since April 5, 2014.

Steven is quite personable, but has very poor judgment. He is a chronic runaway who is engaged in high risk, dangerous behavior when he is on the run. He continues to be at risk of abuse by men in their 30's, 40's and 50's. He meets these men using social media sites.

Steven is 5'8" and 145 pounds, with hazel brown eyes and light brown hair. He has braces on his teeth and noticeable acne on his face and torso.

We believe he may be wearing his black/dark brown leather jacket with a gray hood, jeans, and gray leather high-top Nikes with purple and yellow trim. He usually wears a green baseball cap, or a green baseball cap with a gray front. He may have his long board with him.

Steven usually hangs around the Aloha/Beaverton area, at times on or near the MAX line, but has also spent time in Downtown Portland, near China Town.
