Memorial planned for Officer Libke
Posted November 7th, 2013 @ 12:03pm by Felicia Heaton

Expect hundreds of police officers, firefighters, paramedics and other first responders to join a procession and memorial for fallen Oregon City Reserve Officer Robert Libke next week.

The memorial, open to the public, will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Early arrival is recommended. Additional details on parking, traffic and logistics will be released by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office as the date approaches. Check for updates on the Oregon City Police Department website or the department's Facebook page.

Officer Libke will receive full honors during the memorial, backed by the Oregon Fallen Badge Foundation, a non-profit organization created in 2011. Donations to support the effort may be made through their website.

The Oregon City Police Department has organized a drop-off location for flowers, cards and other items - but not monetary donations - for the Libkey family. Items may be left at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School, 1232 Linn Ave., Oregon City, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily through Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Financial contributions to the Libkey family may be made through Clackamas Federal Credit Union.  Click here for details.
