Portland Police are still searching for the shooter who killed a man in the St. Johns area of North Portland, and caused two nearby schools to lockdown, Monday afternoon.

George Middle School and Roosevelt High School locked their doors after the victim was found shot to death on North Burr Avenue around 2:00 p.m. They stayed on lockdown for an hour-and-a-half, while officers combed the area.

The victim's name has not been released, nor do police know whether the shooting was gang-related.

Investigators are talking with witnesses, and ask anyone with information about the crime to contact Portland Police.
