Washington State Patrol responded to a crash on I-5 southbound around 2:27 a.m. Sunday.
A pedestrian on I-5 was hit and killed.
Investigators say 51-year-old Valentin Reyes Guitierrez was walking along I-5 when he stumbled into the right lane and was hit by an SUV. They believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The driver of the car was from HIllsboro. The driver and a passenger were not hurt.
Charges are not expected to be filed.
